Dr. Young spent more than 40 years in and around this area, including his time with the CSUF Department of Theatre and Dance, promoting the performing arts to children and teenagers.
We will honor Executive Producers of McCoy Rigby Entertainment, Tom McCoy and Cathy Rigby McCoy, for their many contributions to the arts in Orange County.
Cathy and husband, Tom McCoy, are Executive Producers of the McCoy Rigby Entertainment Series at La Mirada Theatre for the Performing Arts in La Mirada, California, and the new Fox Performing Arts Center in Riverside, California. For years, they operated in Fullerton, cultivating an arts community and developing their company that would go on to successfully produce 19 seasons and several national touring productions including: Jesus Christ Superstar, Annie Get Your Gun, Peter Pan, Camelot and Happy Days, the Musical.
The McCoy’s also formed McCoy Rigby Arts (MRA) in 2006. MRCA offers a wide variety of classes including ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical, contemporary, hip hop, aerial dance, musical theater, tumbling, instrumental music lessons, and voice.
