Sunset Garden

We are proud to introduce you to a new artist-designed garden. Thanks to a $25,000 State of California grant secured for us by Assemblyperson Sharon Quirk-Silva and the support of the City of Fullerton we were able to create almost an acre of grasses and wildflowers on the western edge of the grounds.

Read about the Sunset Garden in the OC Register and LA Times.

Quick Facts:

  • All the grass varieties are drought resistant, keeping with our plan to reduce water usage.

  • When they are in flower, or in the case of the foliage color of the Festuca and Leymus, they evoke the colors of a sunset.

  • The garden will be in peak color in late summer through fall, but will have year round color and textural interest.

  • The mosaic sculptures are by Los-Angeles based artist Trace Fukahara.
