Week 1 (June 4th):
Polaroid Emulsion Lift with Mariana Give your Polaroids new life in this hands-on class exploring emulsion lifts, an alternative photographic technique that transforms instant images into unique, reimagined artworks. Learn how to lift and reshape the image layer, creating fluid, organic compositions on paper with a soft, painterly finish. $50 per adult - Upper Studio A
Paper Vases with Kassidy Discover the beauty of transforming simple materials into stunning décor in this class, where craft meets modern design. You'll learn how to turn paper into vase covers, perfect for displaying flowers as interchangeable home accents. Designed for all skill levels and design lovers alike, you’ll leave this class with your own beautifully crafted paper vase and the skills to keep creating handmade décor at home. $50 per adult - Upper Studio B
Textured Butterfly Ceramic Hanging Wall Art with Erika Make a lovely ceramic butterfly wall hanging full of personality. In this class, you’ll shape and design your own butterfly in clay, apply textures and finishes, and make it uniquely yours. Then, create a custom beaded ornamental hanger so your butterfly can flutter proudly from wall to wall. $50 per adult - Ceramics Studio
Week 2 (June 11th):
DIY Button Keychains with Sung Turn timeless treasures into something uniquely yours in this creative jewelry-making experience! Using a curated selection of vintage and antique buttons paired with simple, elegant glass beads, you’ll design and craft a one-of-a-kind keychain that reflects your personal style. $50 per adult - Upper Studio A
Long Exposure Photography at Night with Emerson Learn how to photograph light trails and dynamic motion with artificial light at night in this two hour digital photography session. Bring your own personal cameras or use the cameras we have available to create interesting patterns with light trails. At the end of this class, you will have photographic prints of your digital long exposure images to take home with you. $50 per adult - Upper Studio B
Slice of Cake Ceramic Box with Erika You won’t need a cake mix to whip up this irresistible creation! Join instructor Ms. Erika Flores for a fun and imaginative ceramics experience where creativity takes the lead. You will design and sculpt your very own custom slice of cake, no baking required, and best of all, this sweet treat will last forever. $50 per adult - Ceramics Studio
Week 3 (June 18th):
Plushie Taxidermy with Erika The viral craft has made its way to Muck! Join us for a playful and imaginative mixed media experience where you’ll upcycle plushies into uniquely whimsical or delightfully spooky décor. Give new life to an old favorite or transform something unexpected into a conversation piece full of personality and charm. You’re welcome to bring a beloved plushie or one you’re ready to reimagine, or choose from a selection we’ll have on hand. $50 per adult - Upper Studio A
Pour and Paint with Jac Put on your gloves and apron and get ready to pour some paint! Jac will guide students through the process of acrylic pour painting onto large canvases. Learn pour painting techniques in a fun and relaxing environment and take home a beautiful work of art. $50 per adult - Upper Studio B
Papermaking with Mariana Immerse yourself in the art of papermaking and transform recycled papers and natural plant fibers into your own unique handmade sheets. Week 4 (June 25th):
Felt Portraits with Kassidy Whether it's date night or a friends night out, skip the usual dinner plans and come create something memorable together! In this class, you’ll learn simple stitching techniques while crafting a sweet, handmade portrait of you both that captures your connection. It’s relaxed, beginner-friendly, and the perfect blend of creativity and quality time! $50 per adult - Upper Studio A
Silkscreen Printing on Apparel with Mariana Have a T-shirt design idea you’re ready to bring to life? Let’s make it happen at the Muck! In this hands-on class, students will learn the basics of silkscreen printing, from creating designs and burning screens to printing on T-shirts, tote bags, and other apparel. Bring your own fabric items or use materials provided. Perfect for beginners and creatives alike! $50 per adult - Upper Studio B
Cross-Stitch Ceramic Lamp with Maya Cendejas-Morales Ever wanted to “stitch” your pottery? Create ceramic pieces with a handmade twist on a timeless craft. Inspired by the delicate, grid-based beauty of traditional cross-stitch, you’ll design a custom pattern and transform it into a personalized ceramic lamp. Week 5 (July 2nd):
Cadavre Exquis (Exquisite Corpse) Surrealist Art with Steph. P. Step into the playful world of Surrealism with this classic collaborative drawing game, first imagined in 1925 Paris by artists including Yves Tanguy, Jacques Prévert, André Breton, and Marcel Duchamp. Known for its unexpected and imaginative results, this process invites you to explore creativity through chance, spontaneity, and collaboration. Each artist will paint a section of a shared artwork without seeing what others have created. As the composition unfolds, surprising connections and whimsical forms emerge. At the end, the full piece is revealed, resulting in a truly one-of-a-kind artwork shaped by every participant’s imagination. $50 per adult - Upper Studio A
Pages of Purpose: A Creative Journal Journey with Cynthia Pages of Purpose is a fun and inspiring journal journey workshop designed to help you slow down, reflect, and express your story in a creative way. Create your very own custom journal using cardstock. Bring it to life by documenting your memories with stickers, magazine cutouts, textured paper, and mixed media techniques. $50 per adult - Upper Studio B
Coiling Planter Pots with Sung Discover the art of handbuilding with clay using coiling techniques. You’ll learn how to build organic, sculptural planter pots from the ground up, shaping each piece by hand. Week 6 (July 9th):
Zentangles with Steph P. Relax, unwind, and reconnect with your creativity in this soothing mixed media and paint experience. Get lost in the calming rhythm of making as you explore a meditative art practice designed to quiet the mind and spark imagination. Zentangles combine simple shapes, lines, and patterns that build into beautifully intricate and completely unique works of art. As you layer each mark, you’ll discover how something simple can become unexpectedly expressive and detailed. $50 per adult - Upper Studio A
Wearable Art: Mixed Media Buttons with Kassidy Get creative in a whole new way with this playful class where tiny canvases become bold, wearable art! In this class, you’ll design and create your own custom buttons using a mix of materials like paper, fabric, paint, collage elements, and more. No matter your style, this class gives you the freedom to experiment and express your unique aesthetic. Mini Pumpkins and More with Erika Have you ever seen one of Erika’s signature ‘curly stemmed’ pumpkins around the Muck? Now is your chance to learn how to make those little cuties via instruction from Erika Flores herself, along with other ceramic projects that will fit in the palm of your hand. Week 7 (July 16th):
Stamped in Sunshine: A Summer Card Making Workshop with Cynthia Stamped in Sunshine is a playful and creative card-making workshop where you’ll design vibrant, one-of-a-kind cards using a variety of stamps, inks, and summer-inspired elements. $50 per adult - Upper Studio A
Lotteria Earrings & More with Bridgette Not your daughter's shrink plastic! Using a high-grade shrink plastic, stamps, and a few fancy bits & baubles, students will learn how to design & create at least two pairs of earrings with a bit of a Latina flair. Nickle free earring lever backs provided. Sterling silver or Gold-filled lever back options will be available for an extra fee. $50 per adult - Upper Studio B
Everyday Mug with Sung Give your mug personality! In this class, you’ll design and create your own functional mug using subtle curves, expressive handles, surface textures, and playful details that transform it into something that feels like a character of its own. $50 per adult - Ceramics Studio
Week 8 (July 23rd):
Let it Flow: Exploring Abstract Watercolor with Kassidy Unleash your creativity and let color lead the way in this relaxing experience designed for all skill levels. We will be exploring the beauty of watercolor in its most intuitive form. Rather than focusing on perfection or realism, this class invites you to experiment with movement, color blending, and spontaneous mark-making to create one-of-a-kind abstract pieces. $50 per adult - Upper Studio A
Dream Collage with Steph P. Explore your subconscious mind like a Surrealist artist! Surrealists believed dreams were manifestations of the subconscious and a place where reality and absurdity blend together. Collage was a go to medium for Surrealists artists like Max Ernst, who saw collage as a way to combine pre-existing elements and transform them into new, surreal creations. This project is all about self-expression, perception, and pure creativity. All materials, including magazines and other collage materials, will be provided. Bringing your own magazines (to share) is welcome. $50 per adult - Upper Studio B
Ceramic Corazones with Erika “Corazón” means heart in Spanish, and this class brings that spirit into clay. You’ll learn foundational hand-building techniques to shape, sculpt, and design ceramic heart forms, along with texture, carving, and decorative finishing. Each piece becomes a personal, expressive work of art capturing emotion, intention, and your unique creative voice in clay. $50 per adult - Ceramics Studio
Week 9 (July 30th):
Light Painting at Night with Emerson Learn how to "paint with light" and create dynamic compositions with only a flashlight or the light from your phone in this long exposure two hour photography session. Bring your own personal cameras or use the cameras we have available to learn how to create interesting compositions with flashlights in the dark. $50 per adult - Upper Studio A
Stories Set in Stone: A Creative Rock Storytelling Workshop with Cynthia Stories Set in Stone is a unique workshop where you’ll transform simple stones into meaningful pieces that represent moments, milestones, and memories from your life journey. Through guided prompts and creative exploration, you’ll learn how to use symbols, colors, and words to tell your story in a powerful and artistic way. $50 per adult - Upper Studio B
Ceramic Glaze Decoration with Erika Let's illustrate and decorate with stroke and coat glazes! Tiles will be provided and also feel free to bring one unglazed ceramic piece from a previous night camp class! We're going to slow down, sketch upon bisque ware and apply color. $50 per adult - Ceramics Studio
Week 10 (August 6th):
Picasso inspired Abstractionism with Steph P. Learn the process of abstraction and let your creativity guide you as you create a Picasso inspired artwork using oil pastels. Learning how to take complex subjects and simplify them down to abstract forms is a major aspect of art. This is because artists learn to see and use basic forms to depict complex subjects. Abstraction starts with a fairly representational depiction of a subject and ends with the most impactful and minimal details to depict a subject. This process invites each artist's unique perceptions, because what we view as important is subjective to the individual. $50 per adult - Upper Studio A
Stitched Memories: Photo Embroidery with Kassidy In this class, you’ll learn how to transform printed photographs into beautifully embroidered keepsakes. Whether it’s a cherished portrait, a travel memory or a photo we provide, you’ll discover how to enhance images with texture, color, and personal expression using simple embroidery techniques.
