Meet Our Teaching Artists
Bridgette Luna Antonelli - Lead artist With more than twenty years of experience as an educator, Bridgette Luna Antonelli has spent over two decades blending her passion for teaching with a deep commitment to her own artistic growth. In 2000, she founded her jewelry brand, Bella Luna Arts, where she continues to explore her deep connection to natural materials, cultural storytelling and fine craftsmanship. Bridgette continues to inspire and empower others through her classes in jewelry making and mixed media arts. She is a firm believer in the transformative power of art, and is dedicated to helping others tap into their own creative potential, fostering a welcoming environment where creativity flourishes and everyone can discover the joy of making art.
Willie Tabata - lead artist is a master ceramicist with over 25 years of teaching experience. He studied at Cal State Fullerton and Okinawa Prefectural Arts University.
Young Shin Kim is a contemporary ceramist whose work reinterprets traditional Korean ceramic art. She received her M.F.A. in Ceramics from Cal State Fullerton; M.A. in Korean Art History from Hongik University, Korea; and B.A. in English Lit from Ewha Womans University, Korea.
Cat Dazé has been making pottery since she was a child. She completed a Bachelors in fine art with a focus on ceramics. In 2012, she took up a residency at Gimhae Clayarch Museum in South Korea. Her pottery is beautiful and playful with unique illustrations.
Stephanie Pratt is a multi-media artist and teacher from Fullerton. She studied Photography at Humboldt State University.
Marsha Judd is a passionate and accomplished artist and educator. She has created and established many outreach art programs within the surrounding community. She is also a professor at her alma-mater, Cal State Fullerton.
Erika Flores is a multimedia artist who works with metals, clay, graphite, watercolor, acrylic paint and more.
Rowan Harrison has been working in ceramics for 25 plus years creating works of art that have a connection to his Native American culture while maintaining a contemporary vision. Being a multidisciplinary artist has allowed Rowan to stretch the boundaries well outside the medium of clay work. .
Frank felix - My academic background reflects my profound commitment to the transformative potential of art and education. I enthusiastically disseminate my artistic fervor of multifaceted arts experience encompassing ceramics, jewelry-making, painting, chalk pastels, charcoal, mixed media, and photography, my mission is to cultivate an inclusive and inspirational environment. My oeuvre is a triumphant celebration of my heritage and an intensive exploration of identity, memory, and fortitude, encapsulated through various artistic mediums. Be it sculpting clay, crafting intricate jewelry, or capturing worldly spectacles. Currently I’m working in graphic design mediums such as printing on banners, canvas, t-shirt vinyl, sublimation, direct to garment, laser cutting, and engraving acrylic creations to name a few.
Emerson Little is an interdisciplinary lens-based artist and educator from Fullerton, specializing in analog and digital photography, and video production. He earned a BA in Digital Production from Whittier College in 2021 and an MFA in Creative Photography and Experimental Media from Cal State Fullerton in 2024. Since 2015, Emerson has volunteered as a video columnist for the Fullerton Observer community newspaper.
Maya Cendejas - Morales is a graduate from California State University Fullerton where she received two Bachelors Degrees in Art History and Linguistics, as well as a minor in Japanese. She completed an exchange program in South Korea at Ewha Woman's University, where she developed her passion for global art histories and exploring how language, culture, and art intersect.
Jamie Russom is an interdisciplinary artist specializing in the areas of printmaking, photography, and audio/visual installation. She received an MFA in Studio Art from the Glasgow School of Art in 2016 and a BFA in Printmaking from California State University Long Beach in 2006. Russom is an artist and educator currently living in Los Angeles.
Sarah Clifton studied Elementary Education and Art at Azusa Pacific University. She enjoys sharing her love for ceramics and textile-making with all ages. Her art is often inspired by nature and vibrant colors. When Sarah isn’t at the Muck, you can find her adding art education to any other subject.
A life long surfer and artist, Nick Lewis is known for incorporating his unique illustrations onto functional and decorative ceramic art. After studying studio arts in college Nick had the opportunity to apprentice with well known ceramic artists and continues to work along side many non profits and charity programs. Inspired by his love for nature and passion to lighten the lives of the people he touches he is still excited to create after 25 years of experience.
Erin Schalk is a multidisciplinary visual artist and writer with 15 years of experience. She earned her MFA from the Art Institute of Chicago and specializes in painting, digital photography, and video. Her artwork has been exhibited across the United States, Japan, Europe, and the United Kingdom. As a writer, she has over 55 published works to her credit, along with accolades from Writer’s Digest and a Best of the Net nomination for her poetry.
Jac Alva is an Orange County based mixed media visual artist, and arts and crafts instructor. She is also an art historian specializing in food imagery with an M.A. from Azusa Pacific University. Along with her art making and academic pursuits, Jac served as the 2023 Artist in Residence at The Muckenthaler Cultural Center. She has exhibited her artwork at Gallery Azul (San Pedro), Stay Gallery (Downey), The Vortex (Los Angeles), Exchange LA (Los Angeles), as well as online via Apero Gallery and the Orange County Center for Contemporary Art (OCCCA). Her work has been featured on Orange Coast Magazine, Los Angeles Times, Voyage LA Magazine, Polemical Zine, Bold Journey Magazine, and Shoutout LA.
Young Hong is a passionate teaching artist with a deep background in ceramics. Drawing from traditional Korean pottery techniques, particularly Buncheong ware, as well as her experience in creating ceramic sculptures, she brings a unique perspective to her work. Over the years, she has explored a wide range of ceramic forms, from functional pieces to intricate sculptures, continuously finding inspiration in the rich history of Korean ceramics. As a dedicated instructor, she is excited to share her knowledge and skills with students, helping them explore their own creativity through the medium of clay.
Patricia is a dedicated and passionate art educator with over 20 years of experience teaching visual art to students from kindergarten through eighth grade. A proud graduate of California State University, Long Beach (CSULB), Patricia holds a teaching credential in visual arts and has developed a deep understanding of art education throughout her career. With a focus on fostering creativity, self-expression, and critical thinking, Patricia creates an engaging and inclusive classroom environment where students are encouraged to explore and experiment with various artistic mediums.
Crystal Ly is a visual artist who works in photography and traditional mediums such as painting and drawing. She completed her Bachelor’s in Art and minor in Art History at the University of California, Irvine.
