This annual exhibition features the work of 100 talented high school students from La Habra, Fullerton, Troy, Sunny Hills, Sonora, Buena Park, La Visa, and La Sierra. The collection is judged by their own art teachers and is comprised of a variety of mediums: painting, photography, sculpture, ceramics, etc.
Florence Millner Arnold (aka “Flossie”) was a local hero of Fullerton culture. A founding board member of The Muck, this centennial year is the perfect time to showcase this local treasure.
This exhibit is the culmination of Lauren Nicole's tenure as the 2024 Muck Artist in Residence. Lauren Nicole (LN) is a neurodivergent, Indigenous, Southern California-based artist, focusing on painting and beadwork. Her expressively vibrant and exaggerated portrait style, with its play on perspective, immerses viewers into the sensations of having sensory-processing differences.
Illustrator by day, surrealist by night, Dr. Seuss created a body of irrepressible work that redefines this American icon as an iconographic American artist.
The Los Angeles native began her career as a muralist, involved in the murals that swept through the 1984 Olympics. Identified as one of 24 artists who have had an impact on LA Art, Garcia’s work consists of oil paintings saturated with a wildly expressive palette.
