An exhibition that celebrates Ms. Wood’s unrelenting curiosity and passion for art, design, literature, music, family & friends; with rarely seen artwork by Don Bachardy, Henry Jaglom, Margaret Keane, and Natalie Wood herself. Including many of her personal possessions, the exhibition offers an intimate glimpse into a thoughtfully curated collection of the world's most beloved film icons.
Originally a professional theater actress, her career and passion for art was not realized till later in her life. During the early stages of her new calling, she would meet renowned artist Margret Garcia. Under Garcia’s mentorship, Bonnie would take her work to new levels. Portraying subjects in her Los Angeles environment like rush hour traffic, quiet neighborhoods, urban activities, power lines and telephone poles. Depicting these scenes using deep contrast and an intense color pallet, Bonnie was able to take what may have become dull and ordinary surroundings and, through a new lens, present a new rich and beautiful landscape to the viewer.
