Scenery Greeting Cards (11 and up) - Sat. 4/9, 10am-12pm

In this class you will create collages for greeting cards by melding colored images together. This class will train your eye to see colors and values instead of identifying mere objects in images. With this, you will create a cozy and unified scene using color cut outs from various paper images. Makes great Easter or Mother's Day cards!

Stippling in ink (11 and up) - Sun. 4/10, 10am-12pm

Learn the technique of stippling! Stippling is a drawing technique that renders soft gradient textures to be applied to making a portrait, still life or abstract drawing. You will learn about values, gradients, density and how the stippling technique works to create the illusion of depth and can be a meditative process.

Boro & Sashiko (11 and up) - *Rescheduled for Sat. 5/14, 10am-12pm*

Learn about the history of Boro & Sashiko, a traditional Japanese practice of mending. In applying this technique, you will mend a garment or create something new. You will learn basic hand sewing techniques in the context of the art of Boro & Sashiko.

Optional (but encouraged!): Bring a garment or cloth item that is in need of repair.

Limits Unlimited (11 and up) - Sun. 5/15, 10am-12pm

Ready to have fun with surprise creative exercises!?! This class is based on the quote, "But out of limitations comes creativity." In this class you will engage with others through collaborative drawings, unexpected materials and prompts from the teacher to stretch your creative mind. Exercises will involve collaborative drawings, blackout poems and making sculpture with mystery materials.
