Storytelling to Lyric writing

We are partnering with Music In Common (MIC) to present MIC Community MeetUps.

Artist Amy Redfeather will share her creative process of story creation and lyric development. She will also answer questions on how to make money for creative works like this and more. Community Meet Ups are free and open to the public.

Based in Fullerton, California, Amy Redfeather currently works at the Muckenthaler Cultural Center teaching a variety of art classes and programs. Specializing in drawing, painting, and studio art, Amy brings passion to teaching the principles of design to all of her students. Her goal as a teacher is to inspire students to develop a sense of pride, self-reliance, and discipline through their art. Her patience and positive encouragement has made Amy the respected instructor she is today.

Growing up in the Pechanga Band of Luiseño Indians, Amy was inspired by her ancestors’ proud history and unique mythology which is reflected in her own artwork through her reverence for the feminine and natural. She has worked for her tribe at the Pechanga Cultural Center designing exhibits, working with the youth group, and conducting special events. After earning her Master of Arts in Education and Single Subject Teaching Credential in Fine Art, Amy has been a Visual Arts instructor for several High Schools in the Orange County area.

Amy continues to expand her range as an artist with her technical skills in photography, lighting design, and Adobe Illustrator.
