Accounting for over twenty percent of prisoners in the world, the United States has the highest rate of incarceration per capita than any other nation. This group exhibition will explore artistic themes of personal and societal oppression and liberation, photography documenting the sometimes cathartic stories and experiences of people in prison arts programs, as well as artwork by prisoners themselves.
