In the Gallery
The second part features the addition of five awarding winning paintings from the collection of the National Watercolor Society, who held their membership exhibitions at the Muckenthaler periodically from 1992 through 2006. Celebrated Los Angeles artist June Wanye, who was the subject of an exhibition in the 1970’s, will be represented as well, as well as several works of Southwestern American pottery from the collection of Dr. John Collins, who organized two separate exhibitions on the subject in earlier decades.
On the Stage
Our 50th Anniversary exhibition presents both a history of the many and varied exhibitions, featuring catalogues, posters, and other documents, as well as actual artwork from some of the shows.
The Muckenthaler’s annual Holiday Festival features various activities, including home and gallery tours, performances and an arts & crafts fair. We will be showcasing musical performances including The Darden Sisters and The Sugar Daddies, as well as the following dance groups; Corona Dance Company, Ballet Folklorico Monte Alban, CF Dance Group and the American Martial Arts Academy.
