From pre-production to post-production, learn how a narrative-based short film is made from script to screen. Everyone enrolled will have a chance to develop their ideas into a filmable screenplay. Collectively, as a class, we will choose which script to shoot. Then, we will learn how to storyboard, location scout and cast actors based on the chosen screenplay, and fill production crew positions before launching into production, where everyone will have access to professional audio, camera, and lighting equipment to shoot the story on the Muckenthaler grounds. In post-production, we will learn how to edit our film together in Adobe Premiere. By the end of this class, you will have a short film to add to your reel or portfolio.
