We will meet at Fullerton Depot at 7:45 AM to board the 8 AM Amtrak Surfliner to Santa Barbara. We will arrive at 11:35 AM and walk up State Street just in time for Fiesta Days! Each traveler will be handed a map of the festivities and spend the day on your own or in groups with fellow travelers seeing:

El Mercado De La Guerra – A free colorful Mexican market in De La Guerra Plaza(across from City Hall). Feast on Spanish and Mexican-American foods, shop for crafts and souvenirs and enjoy live entertainment all day and into the early evening. Court House Fiesta Tours – Free Santa Barbara County Courthouse. Guided tours (every half hour) of this beautiful Moorish-Spanish building located at 1100 Anacapa Street. Shopping and Eating on Historic State Street Shopping District. Or spend the day with Zoot for a Walking Tour of State Street. We will meet up again at 6:40 PM and return the same day on the 7 PM train. We can talk over dinner in the dining car about the trip. We will be back in Fullerton at 10:45 PM. The tour is $75 and includes the trains, walking tours, maps of free festivities, camaraderie, directions and advice. Since this trip travels through an abundance of great cheap street food and allows people to go off on their own, we are not including meals.
