The Muckenthaler Cultural Center continues celebrating its first half-century with theopening of the art exhibition “50th Anniversary, 2.0.” The second part features the addition of five awarding winning paintings from the collection of the National Watercolor Society, who held their membership exhibitions at the Muckenthaler periodically from 1992 through 2006. Celebrated Los Angeles artist June Wanye, who was the subject of an exhibition in the 1970’s, will be represented as well, as well as several works of Southwestern American pottery from the collection of Dr. John Collins, who organized two separate exhibitions on the subject in earlier decades. The opening reception of the 50th Anniversary Exhibition, 2.0 will coincide with theMuckenthaler’s $ 50 Art Dash.
