Summer Claymation Intensive
Taught by Hillary Whittaker and Hoa Phan
This is a two-week intensive for students who are interested in sculpting and animation. Using clay figures, students will animate short stories, hence: Claymation. Students will create clay figures of their own design and learn the basic principles of animation and bring their figures to life via stop-motion animation. They can work individually, in pairs, or in groups. Through the art process, students will learn the basics of storytelling and character development and use that knowledge to create short films.

Summer Immersive Theatre Practice: Story Innovation and Movement Creativity
Taught by Rosa Lisbeth Navarrete and Jeremy Charles Hohn
You are the inventor who will write the Story, create the Character, and work with others to bring your work and vision to life. This weeklong program is perfect for emerging storytellers and actors who want to explore new systems such as Improv, Sketch, Playwriting and Laban/Bartenieff Movement Analysis to develop their sense of self-awareness, listening, and play, while building skills in creative thinking, problem solving, story structure and outlining. The participant will find new ways to create work and ignite the Body into action.
