Kids Programs
The Muck is a strong advocate for a full education for children. We offer an amazing variety of classes that stimulate children’s ability to problem solve, gain confidence and grow creatively through the arts. Enroll in all classes (and/or become a member) to receive a discount for all classes and performances. Classes will begin the week of August 30, 2010!
Dance
Learn the dynamic moves of original Hip Hop styles, such as “Lockin” and “Breakin” (Breakdance), in a safe and supportive environment. Sure to get you movin’ and groovin’ with style!

Art Media Exploration
Utilize all the basic and advanced media of water colors, pastels, color pencil and other traditional and modern design elements to explore classical elements and create original art works.

Theatre
Learn the essentials of performing arts and explore the various skills with acting and theatre.

Drawing and Painting
Learn basics to advance techniques of drawing and painting. All projects will use various mediums to inspire the creative minds of each young artist. Unlock their creativity and discover how to see everyday things come to life on paper.

Choir and Music
SING and learn about the vast world of music! Where does it come from? How is it made? Who created it and why? Students will learn the answers to these questions and have the chance to make music together. Choral singing and music appreciation will cover Classical music from various time periods and cultures, as well as contemporary standards and favorites from the stage and screen.

Basic Ukulele
There couldn’t be an easier way to start making music than by playing this whimsical, four-stringed instrument! Designed for uke beginners and musical novices, David Montoya will teach you how to play chords, scales, and even how to strum your favorite songs.
Materials: $55 (includes ukulele and book)

Clay Class / Pottery Wheel
Classes are appropriate for beginning to advanced students. Students will be able to use both pottery wheel and handbuilding techniques, including various clay materials. Dress to get muddy and learn life skills while creating your own projects. Classes can meet once a week or consecutive days.
